How good was the Seattle Police Department's viral lip sync video? A police news website named it the best in the country.
Seattle police released a lip sync video after a challenge by the Norfolk department.

The Seattle Police Department took it “Downtown” with their now viral lip sync challenge video. The video was so good it took the top spot on a list of the best police lip sync videos of the summer.

Police news website PoliceOne.com ranked the department’s video set to Macklemore’s ‘Downtown’ number one out of 15, saying “Seattle PD ran away with this one.”

The viral lip sync challenge videos started in Texas and quickly spread around the country. Officers started by singing from their patrol cars and challenging fellow forces over social media.

The Norfolk Police Department in Virginia challenged the Seattle Police Department. Norfolk’s video set to Bruno Mars' 'Uptown Funk,' which was shot in one take, came in tenth.

The San Francisco Police Department and the Southlake (Texas) Department of Public Safety took the second and third spots, respectively.
