"Want to have a laugh at our expense? Watch our #DowntownLipSync bloopers and outtakes reel here," Seattle Police Department tweeted Wednesday.

Police departments across the country have been competing in a fierce battle for bragging rights to a lip sync challenge. The Norfolk Police Department put on a solid performance for their video to Bruno Mars' Uptown Funk, then nominated Seattle to go next.

The Seattle Police Department accepted the challenge and released their own lip sync video to Macklemore's "Downtown." Since its July 25 release, the video has been viewed more than 150,000 times on YouTube.

The elaborate video was shot at several iconic landmarks around Seattle and featured numerous squads of the police department, community groups, local celebrities and city leaders, including Mayor Jenny Durkan and interim Police Chief Carmen Best.
