How to get air quality alerts and real-time info on smoke

Here's how to get real-time updates on the air quality in your neighborhood.

There are a few ways to sign up for air quality alerts, which will let you know how unhealthy the smoky air is in your community as conditions change.

Puget Sound Clean Air Agency has a text message alert system. Text WILDFIRES to 313131 or subscribe to the agency’s email list for updates.

Alert Seattle, the City of Seattle’s official emergency notification system is also sending out updates on air quality. Sign up here. The system is also used during severe weather, major transportation disruptions, special events, health crises, and other emergencies.

The Environmental Protection Agency uses EnviroFlash to send air quality notifications. Sign up here.
