One killed after crash on SR 9 in Snohomish

The crash involves three vehicles in the City of Snohomish.

SNOHOMISH, Wash. — One person was killed after a crash along State Route 9 in the City of Snohomish on Monday.

The crash involved a commercial concrete pumping truck and two mid-sized sedans, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office. 

When first responders arrived, they found one vehicle on fire. Crews extinguished the fire and pronounced the driver of that vehicle dead at the scene.

Another driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

State Route 9 is closed from the Bickford Avenue roundabout to Second Street.

The sheriff's office asked drivers to expect delays and use alternate routes.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
