I-90 reopens after emergency tree removal

The closure will last between 1-3 p.m. on Friday. Traffic will be stopped at milepost 63 headed eastbound and milepost 70 headed westbound.

SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. — Interstate 90 was closed briefly Friday afternoon for emergency tree removal near Snoqualmie Pass. 

The eastbound closure started at milepost 63, 11 miles east of Snoqualmie Pass, and westbound at milepost 70 near Easton. The closure lasted from 1 p.m. to around 2 p.m., according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT). 

There were "limited services available" at the closure points, according to WSDOT. 

WSDOT sent out a notice about the closure around 11:15 a.m. Friday.
