Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright has played in just three games this season. Following knee surgery this summer, Wright missed the first six outings of the year before returning following the Seahawks bye week.

Wright suited up the next three contests but left the Rams matchup early Week 10. The linebacker has been unable to resume practice since.

As of Thursday, his status remains unclear.

“He had a good day yesterday,” coach Pete Carroll told reporters Thursday. “He worked well and feels good again the next day so we are just going to take it one day at a time and see how he progresses.

“He’s upbeat about it, but I don’t have a timeline for you.”

With just four games left in the regular season, Carroll was asked whether or not Wright has a chance to return.

“I’m hoping, I’m hopeful,” Carroll continued. “Right now we’re hopeful. We’ve got another month here, hopefully, we can get him back.”

For his efforts on and off the field this season, Wright is the Seahawks’ nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award.
