Power restored to thousands in western Washington

On Saturday, over 22,000 people in western Washington lost power, according to Puget Sound Energy

SEATTLE — Over 22,000 people were without power in western Washington on Saturday afternoon.

The Puget Sound Energy Outage Map shows thousands of people lost power in King, Pierce and Kitsap county. Power has been restored as of Monday morning.

Eastside Fire & Rescue crews responded to several of wind-related calls across the region, including fallen trees across roadways and sparking power lines, the department posted on social media.

The department urged people to never approach downed power lines and be aware of your surroundings during windy weather, especially on roadways.

Saturday had a sunny start, however clouds and a cold front rolled in mid-afternoon. KING 5 meteorologists said rain and mountain snow will fall tonight before tapering into spotty showers into Sunday.

Winds will pick up out of the west and southwest between 10-20 mph with gusts over 30 mph.

Are you seeing any downed trees or power lines? Send your weather photos to 206-448-4545 with your name and where the photo was taken.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
