A local woman is one of three finalists in a new game show called "Stream On." It's hosted by Amazon-owned Twitch.tv, the world's largest video-streaming platform.

It's the game show for the digital age - sort of like American Idol for streamers.

Her Twitch username is "Banzai Baby." Antoinette, 28, is a former teacher and toymaker who lives in the Seattle area. She livestreams her woodworking projects, but also cooks and plays video games for her 11,000 followers.

"It's kind of PeeWee's Playhouse, but with power tools," she said.

Each week, the judges give contestants a new challenge. Two other women from the Seattle-area were among the 14 contestants when the game show began in March. Banzai Baby is the only one locally to survive weekly elimination.

She converted her home to a livestreaming studio, with streaming stations throughout her house.

Being the lone female to make it into the finale isn't the only thing that makes Banzai Baby different.

"I'm made for families to watch, that's not a typical thing on Twitch," she said. "I'm not really a gamer. I am a woodworker. I'm a creator."

"I know there are kids that watch me. and it makes them feel happy and confident in life. And it makes them feel like they can do anything," she said.

The Stream On finale airs on Twitch.tv Thursday, May 17 at 3 p.m. PST. The winner takes home $60,000.
