Police searching for suspect who attacked man in Federal Way park

Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to call the Federal Way Police Department.

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — A man was left with serious injuries after he was attacked at Town Square Park in Federal Way on Thursday morning. 

Shortly before 8 a.m., the man was walking on a park path for exercise when the assailant attacked him from behind with a tool and then ran away. Officers quickly responded to the area but they were unable to find the suspect. 

The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center. He is in critical condition, according to the hospital.

Police said the man appeared to be in his 60s or 70s.

Federal Way police are asking for help from the public to identify the suspect in question.

People are asked to call the Federal Way Police Department at 253-835-2121 if they recognize the man in the picture. If anyone sees him, they are asked to call 911 and not to approach him. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
