A Federal Way sailor has been selected to be part of the 2019 Blue Angels crew.
Navy Lt. Aaron Hicks, 33, of Federal Way will be a flight surgeon for next year’s air show, the U.S. Navy announced Monday.
Hicks currently serves as a flight surgeon on the Carrier Air Wing 17. He is a 2007 grad from Western Washington University.
Hicks was one of six officers selected for the 2019 show. The officers were approved by Commander of Naval Air Forces Vice Adm. DeWolfe Miller after interviews at Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida.
