SEATTLE — With the new tunnel and reconstruction of Alaskan Way, Seattle's waterfront is gearing up for a major make-over. Ryan Packer from The Urbanist joins New Day Northwest to talk about how many lanes are getting added, pedestrian access to the waterfront and integrating public transportation.
The Urbanist is a non-profit website examining and influencing urban policies. They hold monthly meet-ups where guest speakers talk about their urban advocacy work and take questions from the audience. In the summer they also guide walking tours of Seattle and Tacoma.
