Beat the Thanksgiving feast remorse with a digestif cocktail featuring Washington-based distilleries.
A.J. Rathbun, a regular contributor to Seattle Magazine and frequent guest on the Everyday Food program from Martha Stewart Living/Sirius satellite radio, showcases five digestifs to help you overcome that overfull feeling.

The cocktail expert also created a special recipe just for New Day, and we're sharing it with you to try at home.
Stuffing's Lament Cocktail Recipe:
- Ice cubes
- 1-1/2 ounces Seattle Distilling Company gin
- 1 ounce Brovo Amaro #1
- 1/2 ounce Four Leaf Spirits Sásta herbal-tea liqueur
- 1/2 ounce Woondinville Whiskey Bourbon Barrel Aged maple syrup
- 2 dashes Scrappy’s Grapefruit bitters
Fill a cocktail shaker halfway full with ice cubes. Add each ingredient with a holiday smile. Shake well.
Strain into a cocktail glass. Drink up. Then head for the leftovers.
