WindowWorks commits to hiring Veterans while promoting the use of solar energy

A Seattle company called WindowWorks is committed to hiring veterans for competitive wage jobs and for opportunities to grow in the solar panel industry.
WindowWorks owner Zach Davis realized veterans were having trouble finding work after returning from service, so he started a training program called Soldiers for Solar.

WindowWorks owner Zach Davis realized veterans were having trouble finding work after returning from service, so he started a training program called Soldiers for Solar.

Army Sergeant Shawn Shaffer was hired by WindowWorks and jumped into action with Zach, helping him develop the program by hiring veterans.

"I help with the hiring process, and try to be that bridge between transitioning soldiers to help translate some of the skills that they learn in the military to what we do in our field," explains Sergeant Shaffer.

Veterans at WindowWorks are trained on state and federal solar incentive programs, how to clean solar panel systems, identifying energy needs of customers and are given opportunities to advance within the company.

If you've ever considered going solar, right now is the best time to do so thanks to state and federal incentives. Homes are given the opportunity to get a check from a power company instead of constantly paying.

So not only does it help ease the pain of a high power bill, but it is better for the environment.

Because it's often cloudy and rainy in the Pacific Northwest, people might think that solar panels aren't as effective, but they are. Zach assures people that Seattle is a great place for solar energy because solar performs better without a tremendous amount of heat.

Special Offer: Anyone who calls and mentions the New Day segment will receive their first residential solar panel clean for $120. That is a 40% savings off WindowWorks' regular price.
