SEATTLE — Seattle psychologist Dr. Bob Heavner says that living through the COVID-19 pandemic requires developing new skills including better family communication, increased resiliency, a willingness to engage in physical activity, and creativity.

Dr. Heavner is a former Peace Corps volunteer who also assisted during the Ebola outbreak in western Africa, and he draws lessons from those experiences as well as his training and clinical practice.
