Snow continues to blanket the mountain passes, but the lowlands are drying out with sun breaks throughout Sunday.
Stevens Pass can expect 7 inches of snowfall Sunday, while the Paradise area of Mount Rainier could get 8 inches. Snoqualmie Pass and Crystal Mountain will see 5 more inches of fresh snow Sunday.
After a soggy and breezy Saturday, the lowlands of Western Washington are getting a break from the elements. A ridge of high pressure dries us out for the last day of 2018, and the dry weather should stick around through the countdown to 2019. January 1 may bring a couple light showers up near the international border, but that would be about it.
Don't forget your coat this week. Temperatures will stay in the 40s for the next 7 days, with lows dipping into the 30s.
Our next chance for widespread rain is either later next Wednesday or Thursday.
