Beat the heat! Now's the time to prep your home for summer 2022

With record heat and increased demand, air conditioning equipment and appointments may not be available until 2022. Sponsored by Sundance Energy Services

Many people have been at home much more during the COVID-19 pandemic, which has meant more business for companies like Sundance Energy Services

“We like to say we want to make your home the most comfortable, safest and healthiest place on earth,” said Curtis Dahl, manager at Sundance Energy. “Those three words became real important in this pandemic, so the demand for all of the things we do that make you more comfortable in your home has skyrocketed.”

The company installs air conditioning systems, decorative gas heating fireplaces, gas furnaces and high efficiency ductless and ducted heat pumps. Team members are trained on how to be safe in the home, including hand washing practices, wearing masks and booties and social distancing.

Due to a hotter-than-usual summer, many homeowners and businesses are looking for new or upgraded air conditioning systems. Sundance is currently scheduling out appointments until spring/summer 2022 for new AC systems.

“We actually are suggesting that they really get on the ball right now because this July was the hottest July on record in the United States,” Dahl said. “It’s not just the Northwest that had extended heat. It’s a lot of places. So, the demand for the air conditioning equipment that is produced has skyrocketed.”

Every air conditioning system has a chip in it, and it has been difficult for manufacturers to keep up with production on this and other components due to the high demand.

SPECIAL OFFER: Sundance Energy Services will match all utility rebates for new customers.

Sundance Energy is also focused on protecting the environment. The company was founded on solar water heating and now uses natural gas. Burning natural gas for energy results in fewer emissions of nearly all types of air pollutants and carbon dioxide (CO2) than burning coal or petroleum products to produce an equal amount of energy, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
