Take in the view of Seattle’s now-closed Alaskan Way Viaduct by drone.
We flew the KING 5 drone “Dexter” over the roadway on Tuesday to catch a glimpse of it from all angles before demolition begins next month.
The viaduct closed for good Friday, but it will be another three weeks before the new tunnel under downtown Seattle opens to traffic. Crews expect to begin demolishing the viaduct about a week after the tunnel opens and plan to finish this summer.
