They all want to be Seattle’s next top cop. On Wednesday, the final three candidates in the running to be the city’s next police chief made their finals rounds.
Seattle Interim Chief Carmen Best, Minneapolis Inspector Eddie Frizzell, and Austin Assistant Chief Ely Reyes are all finalists for the role. They spoke to KING 5 about a variety of issues, including eliminating racial bias, homelessness, and managing public protests.
They also spoke about what attracts them to Seattle and the perceptions that the race is already over.
Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan will likely not make a nomination until next week at the earliest.
