Seattle police chief candidates make pitch for top job

Carmen Best, Eddie Frizzell, and Ely Reyes visited KING 5 for a series of one-on-one interviews about their goals for the Seattle police chief position.

They all want to be Seattle’s next top cop. On Wednesday, the final three candidates in the running to be the city’s next police chief made their finals rounds.

Seattle Interim Chief Carmen Best, Minneapolis Inspector Eddie Frizzell, and Austin Assistant Chief Ely Reyes are all finalists for the role. They spoke to KING 5 about a variety of issues, including eliminating racial bias, homelessness, and managing public protests.
