With another weekend of sky-high temperatures ahead of us, people across Western Washington are looking for ways to cope with the heat.

For some, that meant scuba diving in Edmonds, where they say Puget Sound is the only place that provides some relief. Others opted to spend the day on the beach, but quickly realized the scorching sun had made the sand so hot, it was almost unbearable to walk barefoot.

And for the owner of Sweet Treats Ice Cream Truck, this record breaking summer in the Pacific Northwest couldn't have come at a better time. Mark Wright bought the truck in April, before he knew just how hot the months that followed would be.

"Yes, the heat is definitely good for business," said Wright. "And you know, you try not to eat all of your own profits, but when it gets really hot you have no choice."
