Washington's own Nathan Adrian and Manu Tuiasosopo honored by Asian Hall of Fame

The Robert Chin foundation hosts the Asian Hall of Fame Saturday, May 31st.
2014 Honoree Announcement

The Asian Hall of Fame is back and better than ever. The Robert Chinn Foundation is gearing up to raise awareness for Asian Pacific American achievement and heritage in the 2014 installment of the Asian Hall of Fame event at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel on Saturday, May 31, 2014.

The event will recognize four impressive Asian Pacific Americans, including Nathan Adrian (three-time Olympic gold medalist swimmer), Norman Y. Mineta (former U.S. Secretary of Transportation, U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Member of the U.S. House of Representatives, and Mayor of San Jose), Grace Park (Actor, Hawaii Five-0 and Battlestar Galactica), and Manu Tuiasosopo (former Seahawks player and Super Bowl XIX Champion, 49ers).

A project of the Robert Chinn Foundation, the Asian Hall of Fame is part of the Foundation s effort to pay tribute to the memory of Robert Chinn, a community leader who founded the first Asian-owned bank in the United States and always endeavored to support his local neighbors.

Robert Chinn always felt Asian Pacific Americans should distinguish themselves and should be honored for it, says Karen Wong, President of the Robert Chinn Foundation. A celebration dinner where we can showcase successful Asian Pacific Americans from all professions and hear their stories is invaluable.

The 2014 Asian Hall of Fame will provide just that opportunity. It will be a chance to recognize the accomplishments of four outstanding Asian Pacific Americans, to raise awareness and fundraise for Asian Pacific American endeavors, and to celebrate the heritage of its participants on a national scale.
