A National Forest sign located outside Enumclaw along a forest service road was stolen sometime within the last week.

GREENWATER, Wash. — A large Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest sign valued at $2,000 was stolen from a service road outside of Enumclaw.

It's unclear exactly when the sign was stolen, only that it was within the past week, according to U.S. Forest Service spokesperson Colton Whitworth.

The sign was purchased about seven years ago and was located on FS70.

The 4-foot-by-8-foot sign is so large the Forest Service believes at least two people were involved. The sign weighs around 150 pounds.

Whitworth said they see vandalism every once in a while, but not to this degree.

Anyone with information is asked to call the North Bend Ranger Station at 425-888-1421.
