A 29-year-old man died from his injuries, according to police.

RENTON, Wash. — Detectives are investigating a homicide after a man was killed in a Renton apartment parking lot early Sunday morning.

The Renton Police Department was called to the 1100 block of Oakesdale Ave SW just after 3:15 a.m. for reports of a dispute in the parking lot with shots fired. Police found a 29-year-old man with a gunshot wound, who died from his injuries in the parking lot.

Witnesses told police they saw multiple people in a car arguing when they heard a single gunshot. Two people in the car sped away, but police found the car and questioned the people inside.

Investigators found a handgun inside the car, but it is unclear if it was the weapon used in the homicide.
