FIFE, Wash. — A Pierce County bomb unit disabled an explosive device in Fife Sunday afternoon.
The area around 54th Avenue East and 20th Street East was evacuated for an investigation into a suspicious device late afternoon.
The bomb unit confirmed the device was an explosive and disabled it. Specifics on the device are not known.
Evacuation orders were lifted around 5:50 p.m.
