Police use social media to boost 25-year search for missing Puyallup girl

Detectives shared 14-year-old Misty Copsey's story on Twitter and Facebook. In a unique twist, the posts were written from Misty's point of view.

On September 17, 1992, 14-year-old Misty Copsey vanished after visiting the Puyallup Fair with a friend. Now, 25 years later, detectives with the Puyallup Police Department are trying a unique approach to breathe new life into this cold case.

Puyallup Police Detective Sergeant Jason Visnaw and Captain Scott Engle shared more about their decision to share Misty's story on social media, in her own voice, as well as what new leads this new push is generating.
