Is a naval radio station in Washington Russia's latest target?

A broadcast on Russia TV listed places Russia may target in a nuclear attack. Naval Radio Station Jim Creek located east of Arlington made the list.

SEATTLE — Tensions between Russia and the United States are ramping up, and it may be putting a naval radio station in Washington in the crosshairs. Russia's state television recently talked about potential places Russia could hit in a nuclear attack, and Naval Radio Station Jim Creek was on the list. Retired US Army General Barry McCaffrey joins New Day Northwest to talk about the threat and how likely Russia is to act on it.

The station is one of the most powerful Naval radio stations in existence with the ability to communicate with military personnel all around the world. It's located in Snohomish County.

The threat comes after the United States and Russia both withdrew from a Cold War-era arms treaty that prohibited development of a specific class of nuclear weapons.
