Lynnwood — With new departments and items, Macy’s is a good pick if you need to make one stop to check off all of your holiday gifting list, according to stylist Darcy Camden. She found items for everyone, from guy gifts to kids, to hard-to-please teens.
Ultimate Mask Collection: “This is a Macy's exclusive, the deals you can get on gift sets are unbelievable,” said Camden about the collection of 19 paper face masks for 45 dollars. Her advice – open up the cute box and keep a few masks then use the rest for gift bags and stocking stuffers.
Love Your Melon Beanies: "For the man in your life, this is the coolest hat, this is from a company called Love your Melon, and I found this in the Market here in Macy’s, which features handmade items like what you’d find in a farmer’s market.” The knit hats cost 30 dollars, and for every beanie sold, they donate one to a child with cancer.
Kit-sch jewelry: Camden says these simple, tiny pieces are great gifts for a teenage girl. “When it comes to gifting jewelry, I usually go for something simple, delicate, so that maybe they'll wear it every day.”
Michael Kors smartwatch and purses: “The most fashionable smartwatch out there,” says Camden of the watches that work with android and iPhone systems. And the brown Michael Kors clutch that converts to a backpack is so new, people in the store were trying to buy the one Camden used for the demonstration.
Google Home and Echo Spot: "These home electronics are this year’s must have things, and you can get them here at Macy's,” said Camden.
Frango Mints and soft throws: If you’re looking for a hostess gift, consider a throw in holiday colors. Also, "Everybody loves Frango Mints. This instead of a bottle of wine is what you should be taking as a hostess gift to all our parties, and they’re under ten dollars!”
Cashmere wrap: Want to give the gift of cashmere, but not sure about sizing? Buy a wrap. And buy this color: “Burgundy looks good on everyone!” Camden said.
Finally, toys: “As the mom of a four-year-old I'm always looking for great deals on toys." Macy’s has a big selection of toys in their new off-price department ‘Backstage’ for 25 dollars or less.
“I know it's so tempting to shop online, have it come to your house,” said Camden. “But if you pick one spot to physically go, this is the place where you can get all of your holiday shopping done in one place.”
