Royal Watch: Enjoying tea with 'Queen Elizabeth' in Victoria

It's not exactly "across the pond," but Victoria, B.C., is the perfect place to prep for the Royal Wedding.
KING 5's Joyce Taylor met up with royal impersonators for tea in Victoria, B.C.

It’s not exactly "across the pond," but Victoria, B.C., is the perfect place to meet up with the "Queen" and "The Duchess of Cornwall."

The impersonators are about as close as we’re going to get to the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. They had us fooled!

The Canadian celebrities were the talk of the tea room at the Fairmont Empress Hotel as we sipped Miss Markle’s favorite – a combination of licorice and green tea. We dined on those tiny triangle sandwiches and "biscuits" – called cookies in America.

At happy hour we got a taste of Prince Harry’s favorite Red bull and vodka concoction and a Royal Empress Twist. Who knew the queen liked her cocktails? Gin and tonic, please!

One can’t end a royal journey without a stop at Roberta’s – famous for its fascinators and fancy hats. Shopping? Twist my arm. So many to choose from... but I managed!

Thanks, ladies! See you at the Royal Wedding, even if it is just on the "telly."
