Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson will wear jersey No. 73 this season . . . for the New York Yankees, that is. Wilson, who is in New York, announced he will be reporting to Yankees’ spring training next week sporting the number.

“Hey New York city – I’m here, I’ve got the Yankees hat on, I’m heading to spring training on Monday,” Wilson said in the video he tweeted Thursday morning. “I can’t wait to see you guys February 26, we’re gonna have some fun for that week.”

Wilson was traded from the Rangers to the Yankees on Feb. 7 for future considerations.

The Seahawks quarterback will join the Yankees in Tampa, Florida for six days of spring training, per an ESPN source. Wilson is scheduled to leave camp on March 3, the day the Yankees play the Boston Red Sox in Fort Myers.

In his video, Wilson also had a message for Yankee outfielders, Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton.

“Hey, Aaron Judge, I know you want to throw some passes, so let’s play some ball,” Wilson said. “We’ll have a little home run derby too. Stanton, I’m coming for you, too. We’ll have some fun, baby. And hey – let’s go win a World Series. Why not? Peace.”

Despite his brief appearance at Yankees’ camp, Wilson intends to keep his focus on football and leading the Seahawks back to the playoffs.

How about a Super Bowl too? Why not? Peace.
