An approaching frontal system is bringing another round of rain and wind to the lowlands of western Washington, with nearly 2 feet of mountain snow through Sunday afternoon.
Snow levels today will stay at or below 3,000' which means significant accumulations on the way for all of our major mountain passes in the Cascades of Washington.
The strongest winds will be in the north interior, the southwest interior and out along the coast- sustained southerly winds from 15-30 mph are possible with higher gusts.
As we head into the day tomorrow, it will be windy in morning, with the winds decreasing during the afternoon. Showers are still a possibility, but we should be able to score a few sunbreaks in between bands of showers during the afternoon.
The rain increases once again on Monday.
