Detectives believe the shooting deaths of two teenage girls in Burien Wednesday night is gang related.

On Friday the King County Medical Examiner's Office identified one of the victims as 19-year-old Eveona Cortez.

The girls were shot during an argument in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Ambaum Blvd SW, said the King County Sheriff's Office.

Spokesman Sgt. Ryan Abbott said both victims were transported to Harborview Hospital where they were pronounced dead.

Abbott said officers arrived just one minute after the first 911 call and found a chaotic scene with cars speeding away and people running.

No description of the suspect or suspects or the vehicle were given yet. Sheriff's deputies are stepping up patrols of the area.
