New holiday rock opera aims to help fill local food banks

The Bell Ringer is a sweeping concept show reminiscent of Trans-Siberian Orchestra and features several former TSO members.

Seattle — A new rock opera from Symphony North aims to spread warmth, holiday cheer, and raise money for local food banks. The Bell Ringer tells the story of a man who's down on his luck and takes the only job he can find - as a bell ringer on a street corner on Christmas Eve. The story is told through original music and new arrangements of classic carols, and the cast includes members of the Trans Siberian Orchestra.

Peter Orullian from Symphony North composed The Bell Ringer. He performed a song from the show then shared more about the inspiration for the story, as well as his passion for helping others.
