Underwater microphones record noise in Puget Sound

Underwater noise is a problem for endangered Southern Resident killer whales because it drowns out their ability to hunt fish and communicate with each other. One group is using a network of underwater microphones to better understand how noisy it is in the Salish Sea, and what we can do to make it quieter.
