Pierce County hits record tourism numbers
According to The News Tribune and "Travel Tacoma and Pierce County" counted 3.4 million visitors who stayed in Tacoma overnight last year, dropping a record 1.2 billion dollars of direct spending into the local economy. Tourists spent almost 50% more in Pierce County last year than they did 10 years ago.
