The Seattle Storm selected UCLA guard Jordin Canada and West Virginia forward Teana Muldrow in the WNBA Draft on Thursday.

Canada, the 5th overall pick, leaves school as the Pac-12 and UCLA all-time assists leader, dishing out 831 assists in her career. She set the program’s single-season record for assists with 248 in her senior season (2017-18) and averaged 7.1 assists per game in 2017-18, seventh-best in the NCAA.

Canada joins Gary Payton as the only two players in Pac-12 history to score 1,800 points and 700 assists. She is also the conference's Defensive Player of the Year the past two seasons.

With the 29th pick, Seattle chose Teana Muldrow. One of five finalists for the 2018 Cheryl Miller Award, Muldrow had a standout senior campaign at West Virginia, averaging 18.9 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game in 2017-18, all of which were team highs. She led the Mountaineers to the semifinals of the WNIT and garnered AP All-America Honorable Mention and All-Big 12 First Team honors.
