Experience the Northwest's love affair with trains at Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad & Logging Museum
Celebrate the Northwest's love affair with trains at the Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad and Logging Museum is located in Mineral, Washington.
Getting to the museum is just as fun. You board a steam train in Elbe, a town so small the entire population can fit inside a small church. From there it's a scenic seven-mile journey back in time.
"Trains are part of our heritage. There is nothing more American than a steam engine to a logging museum and to be able to pass through forests and rivers with a beautiful view of Mt. Rainer," said Bethan Maher.
When you get off the train in Mineral, you've got one hour to see more historic trains and find out what it was like to live in a logging camp back in the day.
With a view like this, we only wonder - does it get any better than this?
