Seattle breaks record for consecutive days of rain in April

On Sunday, Seattle broke the record for consecutive days of rain in April.

What a start to the year in Seattle with record snowfall in February, a mild March, and a new weather record for April. 

Sunday was the 12th consecutive day of rain this month at Sea-Tac Airport, breaking the 64-year-old record. The former record was set in April 1955.

As of Sunday, 2.76 inches of rain had fallen in Seattle this month, making the first two weeks of April the sixth wettest, according to the National Weather Service.
