More record-breaking temps possible across Western Washington

Records fell in at least four cities and towns.
Sunny hot weather April 25, 2018

Does it feel like summer in Western Washington?

It should! We hit a record 77 at Sea-Tac, a high temperature we would expect later in July or early August.

The climate stations in Seattle, Forks, Olympia, and Hoquiam all broke records. And the National Weather Service site in Bellevue hit 80 degrees!

"Days like today make the winter worth it," local to Alki Beach Adam Barone said as his daughter Annabelle collected sea shells.

Kate Chen took advantage of the sunshine by hosting a work meeting outside with her dog Reese.

"It's like summer in April," she said. "It's just nice to see everyone out.

Highs from Tuesday are listed below, but the real question is, will we see any more records? The short answer – yes.

Well, it’s likely anyway.

This warmth will stick around for the next couple days giving us a sneak peek of summer.

Wednesday will be another sunny day with highs into the mid to upper 70s. This heat wave peaks on Thursday around Puget Sound with temperatures in the mid-70s to low 80s between Seattle and Olympia.

Along the coast, the temperatures will cool dramatically on Thursday as the marine air begins to push in. The clouds and the cooling will extend into Puget Sound early Friday morning for a cloudy start to the day.

The sun will reappear Friday afternoon, but highs will drop back to the mid to upper 60s. Showers move in Friday night and keep us wet off and on over the weekend with highs only in the upper 50s.
