Sea-Tac Airport reports approximately 50 million passengers in 2019

Roughly 2.1 million passengers will have gone through Sea-Tac from Dec. 19 to early January, making it one of the busier holiday seasons on record.

SEATAC, Wash. — Millions of Americans are on the move, and many went in and out of the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport for the holiday season.

Roughly 2.1 million passengers will have gone through Sea-Tac from Dec. 19 to early January, making it one of the busier holiday seasons on record, according to the airport.

The busiest day, Dec. 20, brought approximately 154,000 passengers through the airport. Numbers are expected to drop through the new year as the holidays wind down, which may ease congestion through terminals.

Overall, Sea-Tac is expected to hit over 50 million passengers in 2019, which is up 3.8% from 2018.
