SEATTLE — Puget Sound is a Washington landmark -- but how much about it do locals really know?

Geology writer David Williams says Puget Sound is now in the best ecological condition than it has been in decades, but there are always ways we can work together to make it more habitable for all. His new book, "Homewaters: A Human and Natural History of Puget Sound" does just that by detailing the 10,000-year history of Washington's most prominent body of water.
