Rollover crash causes delays on I-5 in Fife Thursday morning

South King Fire said they used thermal imaging cameras to try and locate any crash victims, but said “no subjects were found.”

FIFE, Wash. — A rollover crash caused delays on southbound I-5 in Fife Thursday morning.

The two-vehicle crash near 70th Avenue East was first reported around 6:30 a.m. At one point, the crash closed three right lanes of the interstate.

South King Fire said they believe the driver of a pickup truck hit a van that was parked on the shoulder of I-5. The truck then rolled over before coming to a stop in a ditch on the side of the road.

It is unknown if there were any injuries in the crash because authorities said they couldn’t find any patients at the scene.

Fire officials said they flipped the truck over to search underneath the vehicle but found nothing.

Crews also used thermal imaging cameras to try and locate any victims that may have been ejected from the vehicle, but “no subjects were found.”

This story will be updated when more information becomes available.
