This is the last morning commute for the Alaskan Way Viaduct.
At 10 p.m., the viaduct will permanently close.
When the viaduct closes, commute times into the city are expected to increase dramatically. Transportation officials are urging people to either adjust their schedules, or find alternatives ways to get to work. If you have to drive, officials say you should give yourself at least an additional 30 minutes to get to your destination.
During the last lengthy viaduct closure, drivers throughout the region saw significant changes to their commutes.
State Route 99 through the city will reopen in early February along with the new tunnel.
