Kikkan Randall finally fulfilled her Olympic dreams.

Winning an Olympic medal was the last major goal left for the Anchorage skier, the only mother on the U.S. cross-country team.

She got it when she and Jessie Diggins took the gold in the team sprint.

It's also the first gold medal for the U.S. cross-country team ever. KING 5's Chris Egan spoke with her following the medal ceremoney.

"It's been everything I've dreamed of about winning an Olympic medal," said Randall. "It's a validation of what we've all been working for and knowing what's been possible for the last decade."
