The Seattle Seahawks are heading into an overseas contest against the Oakland Raiders in good health, with only three players unable to practice on Wednesday.

Two of them, linebacker K.J. Wright and defensive end Rasheem Green, have already been ruled out for Sunday’s contest against the Oakland Raiders in London. The other is tight end Nick Vannett, who did not practice with a back injury.

There was no indication that Vannett was hurt during Sunday’s game, so it’s possible this is just a precaution – considering Seattle has very little depth at tight end.

Will Dissly is out for the year with a knee injury, and Ed Dickson is unable to return from the injured reserve until Week 8 against the Lions. So the Seahawks are left with Vannett and Darrell Daniels on the active roster, unless you count tackle George Fant, who played tight end during 12 snaps on Sunday.

Vannett’s injury could help explain Seattle’s decision to add Tyrone Swoopes to their practice squad. Swoopes has more familiarity with Brian Schottenheimer’s offense than Marcus Lucas, who was waived to clear a spot.

Swoopes could be activated if Vannett’s injury doesn’t heal in time for him to play on Sunday.
