SEATTLE — Former Seahawk and Husky legend Lawyer Milloy battled winds topping 40 mph Friday to raise the Hawks 12 flag atop the Space Needle in Seattle.

"It’s a great cause," said Milloy, who was making his first-ever trip to the Space Needle. "We’re in the playoffs 2019, going for it all, and our Seahawks have a chance."

The flag will fly in anticipation of the Seahawks Wild Card playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys. It will remain up through Sunday, January 6.

“(Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll) showed that he can rally the troops, and he rebuilt it himself and the team and the atmosphere and got those guys believing, and now they have a chance,” Milloy said.

Milloy earned All-American honors at Washington before going on to play 15 years in the NFL. He retired after two seasons with the Seahawks in 2009 and 2010.
