The Seattle Seahawks have utilized a prolific running attack this season, thanks in part to the play of their offensive line. Unfortunately, Seattle could be without both their starting guards, J.R Sweezy and D.J. Fluker, on Sunday when they close out the regular season against the Arizona Cardinals.

Coach Pete Carroll already indicated that Sweezy won’t suit up on Sunday, while saying that Fluker will be a gametime decision. With a playoff spot already locked up, Seattle could look to give Fluker extra rest – although Carroll is not a fan of resting his players.

It’s clear that backup guard Ethan Pocic will occupy Sweezy’s spot on Sunday, but if Fluker is out Seattle will need to find a new right guard now that Jordan Simmons (knee) is on the injured reserve.

The other offensive linemen on Seattle’s active roster include tackles Elijah Nkansah and George Fant as well as center Joey Hunt. Hunt has played guard in the past, and would be the obvious fill in if Seattle doesn’t make any roster moves.

Additionally, Seattle could bring up one of their two offensive linemen from the practice squad; center Marcus Henry or guard Jordan Roos. Roos would be the most obvious choice, having played seven games for the Seahawks last season.

Seattle should have their starting offensive line intact for their playoff run, with Sweezy expected to be healthy by January. Until then, Seattle has a few options to plug in on Sunday is Fluker is inactive.
