One week after 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick refused to stand for the national anthem, a Seahawk followed suit.

Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane didn't stand for the anthem before the Seahawks' final preseason game against the Raiders.

It was not immediately clear if Lane didn't stand for the same reasons as Kaepernick.

AP NFL shot a photo of Lane sitting alone on the Seahawks bench during the anthem.

Last week Kaepernick told NFL Media that he refused to “stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses Black people and people of color.”

Before the 49ers game against the Chargers Thursday, Kaepernick and safety Eric Reid kneeled during the national anthem, continuing the protest.

Kaepernick received scattered boos when he dropped to a knee, but the protest was otherwise unremarked by the San Diego crowd. The 49ers' visit coincided with the annual Salute to the Military preseason game for the Chargers, who have strong fan support in their city's extensive armed forces community.
