Seattle Seahawks rookie Shaquem Griffin, twin brother of second-year cornerback Shaquill Griffin, was clueless Friday was National Twins Day.

“No idea. I mean, I guess I wasn’t even worried about it because I’m already a twin,” Griffin told reporters when asked about the holiday. “So, I’m a twin every day – isn’t it like National Twin Day for me every day?”

Griffin joined his twin on the Seahawks squad when he was selected in the fifth round of this year’s NFL Draft. His brother is also now his mentor and his roommate.

“It’s going well, I just got me a little puppy, so now we are taking up more room,” Griffin explained of his living situation. “We are kind of taking over right now. He (Shaquill) don’t like it that much. A blue Frenchie named Tank. So, he’s a very hefty puppy, big stomach.”

So while the rookie is adjusting to his new life in Seattle, it’s clear even twins have their differences.

“Well, I don’t walk around too much but definitely the fans are just amazing, they show love wherever we go,” Griffin explained. “If it’s just going to the store, everybody always is just going to show love. They are happy that I’m here and I’m glad to be here. I’m extremely blessed.

“The thing is, I just got to get a better reaction for my brother – he’s not too happy that I moved in with him.”
