Doug Baldwin out Monday for critical game against the Vikings

Doug Baldwin is inactive Monday night for a critical game against the Minnesota Vikings. It's the third game Baldwin has missed this season after missing a pair of games in September because of a knee injury.

The Seahawks will be without wide receiver Doug Baldwin for Monday night's game against Minnesota because of a hip injury that kept him out of practice all week.

Baldwin was listed as questionable on the final injury report, but did not participate in any practices leading into Monday's game and wasn't on the field during the traditional pregame warmups. It's the third game Baldwin has missed this season after missing a pair of games in September because of a knee injury.

“He has a groin issue,” coach Pete Carroll said after the Seahawks’ Saturday walkthrough. “It’s a little bit different than what it was, but it’s related. It’s not the same injury.”

Seattle will also be without guard D.J. Fluker, cornerback Kalian Reed, linebacker K.J. Wright, fullback Tre Madden and defensive end Branden Jackson.

Erik Kendricks, the only Minnesota player listed as questionable, was active meaning he'll have a chance to go against his brother Mychal for the second straight season. Mychal Kendricks is eligible to play for the first time since being suspended eight games after he pleaded guilty to federal insider trading charges.
