Archbishop Murphy finally gets to play football after string of forfeits

The Archbishop Murphy Wildcats played their first game in a month on Saturday against Olympic High School.

The Archbishop Murphy Wildcats played their first game in a month on Saturday against Olympic High School.

The Wildcats crushed their opponents 48-0. The coach said the team was glad they finally had a chance to play after the previous teams forfeited.

"This season has been like a volcano," said coach Jerry Jensen.

The Wildcats have six players who weigh more than 250 pounds, and other teams have been concerned about getting injured.

"Let's get this over with," said Holly Quipevius, whose son is quarterback for Olympic. "I knew we had too much integrity to forget this game."

From the sidelines, it did not appear that any players from Olympic were injured.
