PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) - Aliyah Mazyck scored 25 points, including consecutive baskets during a game-deciding run, and USC rallied from a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat Washington State 73-72 on Friday night.

The Trojans (14-6, 4-5 Pac-12) trailed 69-65 when they went on an 8-0 run over a two-minute span that included three WSU turnovers to lead 73-69 with a minute left. Both teams then exchanged missed shots with the Cougars having the last possession with 17 seconds left but unable to get a shot off.

Kristen Simon scored 24 points with 13 rebounds for her sixth double-double this season while Minyon Moore added 14 points, seven assists and eight steals for the Trojans.

Borislava Hristova scored 16 points but only four in the second half while Pinelopi Pavlopoulou made 3 of 4 3-point tries for 13 points for WSU (9-12, 2-7), which shot 50 percent but gave up 26 points off 17 turnovers, including seven fourth-quarter miscues.

This was WSU's first game since head coach June Daugherty announced she was taking an indefinite medical leave of absence "to rest and heal" following an unspecified medical procedure a few weeks ago. Her husband, Mike Daugherty, is acting head coach in her absence. Daugherty missed three games previously this season.
